What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focus in which the body and conscious mind are in a greatly relaxed state while the subconscious mind remains very alert and receptive to positive directions or suggestion. Many refer to hypnosis as a state where one can concentrate intensely while blocking out distractions and your eyes may be closed OR open during hypnosis. In hypnotherapy, we simply unlearn an unwanted behaviour and how a desired one can be learned to replace it. What we do is simply reprogram your subconscious mind to realign with what you want consciously.

Will I lose control?

No, you won’t say or do anything that you don’t want to. While hypnosis can be used for personal benefit, it cannot cause you to say or do anything against your free will or ethics. The techniques used are simple yet effective, you will remain aware during a session and remember what happens afterwards. I coach your mind and make suggestions, it's up to you to do the rest!

Will this work for me?

Hypnosis is a powerful, effective treatment for many conditions which affect most of us within our daily lives. Like anything, it is not a magic bullet that will work without any work from your side but it will absolutely help you progress on your wellness journey. I can guarantee that if you’re really motivated to change then it can help you focus and visualise that change and tap into your powerful unconscious skills to help you achieve what you want to.
